Cloud Courier, a project at SRH Heidelberg where we developed a 3D game in Unity in under one month. This game revolves around hot air balloons and offers players an open-world, low-poly 3D experience, enabling them to control hot air balloons for the transportation of goods between different countries.
In total, our team consisted of seven individuals, including one other programmer (besides myself), two 3D designers, and three 2D designers. I had the privilege of serving as the Lead Programmer for this project, taking on a significant role in shaping the game's core mechanics (movement, inventory system, balloon modification mechanics, camera systems, hangar events, menus, minimaps, game settings), and various behind-the-scenes functions.
I proudly took on a major part of the programming work, handling approximately 98% of the coding tasks. While I initially didn't create the Audio and Windzone scripts, I optimized and ensured their functionality. I also contributed to the project by handling UI outlining and integrating sprites from the 2D designers. Additionally, I optimized the 3D models in terms of size and positioning.
As the one with the most significant responsibility in the project, I was also entrusted with preparing the game within my engine, starting from the very early phase until the final stage of development, where we published our project.
